An Unusual Manifestation of Sporotricosis

Abstract
|

|
The patient was a 57-year-old Korean farmer`s wife who used to work at the farm and had erosive, ulcerated, gummatous, chncriform, crusted, indurated, erythamatous and nodular skin lesinns developed over the inter-eyebrow space of the frontal head, close to right medial palpebral commissure and mid-portion of the right cheek, which were somewhat similar to those of late syphilis, tuberculosis, lepromatous leprosy, and others, however, "mycological and histopathological studies on the case revieled the lesion by the infection of Sporotrichum schenckii.
Author discussed differential diagnosis, histopathology, mycoloy, immunology and treatment of Sgorotrichosis, and made review of related literatures.
